More Supports for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder when Applying to Post-Secondary School

On February 6th, 2014 the Government of Ontario posted a bulletin announcing that the government is offering more help to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to apply and excel in post secondary education. This will begin with projects at York University and Algonquin College. These include programs to help with orientation, workshops on how to manage the responsibilities of being a student, and online resources to help faculty identify the needs of students with ASD. A new website has been developed, for individuals with disabilities, to make it easier to research colleges and universities.
